At FULL Creative, we like to think of ourselves as part of a movement toward freedom from old ideas about when and where work should happen. Together, we create and implement work-anywhere systems that allow people to choose where they work. But that’s not all we do. We also want to help people work when they choose to work, as much as possible. That’s where flexible scheduling comes in.
For some people, like parents with young children, the school day is the best time for focused work. For others, like students, class time is for learning, and work comes before or after school hours. Some of us are early birds, and others are night owls. The old thinking puts us all in one box. It doesn’t have to be that way.
For many types of work (especially the kind done sitting at a computer) it just doesn’t matter whether it gets done at noon or midnight, morning or afternoon. As long as deadlines are met, we believe people are most productive when they can work at the time of day that feels right to them. The flexible scheduling system we continue to develop and use every day is one step towards making work-anytime a reality.
